XRACE began life as an idea to create an event with strong social returns.
Aftering seeing a gap in the market, the decision was reached to develop an event that focused on strengthening the bonds of family while delivering self-esteem to kids - no easy task especially when starting out with a completely black canvas.
XRACE was that idea and after many incarnations, the first event was rolled out in 2013. Now, alongside title sponsor New Zealand Home Loans - XRACE enters its fourth summer season in New Zealand.
XRACE is owned and produced by Brand New Day with offices in New Zealand and in 2016, Australia.
So far, the team at Brand New Day have produced almost 50 XRACE events, ranging from a few hundred in smaller provincial areas right through to events in the 2000+ space. Almost 20,000 New Zealanders have experience the magic of XRACE.
Australia will become the second country to experience XRACE in Spring 2016.

“My son has absolutely flourished thanks to this event, and I can't believe the difference it has made to him. Cameron has always been a clever kid, but in terms of his physical development he has always struggled. Ever since being a toddler, any physical activity that other kids would just jump to, he has always struggled to learn. But this XRACE completely captured his imagination.
When we first heard of the Wellington event, I told him I would be quite happy to do it with him - but that he would have to promise to train hard over summer. And train hard he did. We had a great summer training for this with Cameron, we enjoyed spending a wet Sunday afternoon in the garage practicing stilt walking.”
